After 12 wonderful years, our original Facebook page for Caterpillar Clubhouse Daycare has been hacked and unexpectedly been taken down. While we’re sad to see it go, we’re also excited to be turning the page and starting a fresh new chapter! 📖✨

We read this classic story then the children had a blast balancing apple stickers on top of their heads. They thought this so funny 😁
We also colored our own apples in red, yellow and green!
How Many Apples Tall Are You?
Today we had fun counting how many apples tall we are this year! 🍎🍏😊
Mini apple pies! 🍎🥧
This morning we made our own little personal apple pies and later enjoyed them outside in the backyard as our afternoon snack 😋
Muddy Farmyard Fun 🐷🐮🐑
Today we got our hands 👐 (and everything else 😄) messy in a ‘mud’ (pudding 🍫) sensory bin!
We rescued farm animals from the muck and gave them a good scrub with toothbrushes in a bubbly wash station, then headed inside for some muddy pig art 🧼🎨🐖.
We are very excited for our farm visit tomorrow! 🚜🌽🐓
🌻 Today we had so much fun visiting a sunflower farm 🚜 💛 We even discovered a sunflower themed park that we just had to stop at and play!😊
✨🍋 It was a little chilly outside this morning, so instead of a liquid, we explored with solid “lemonade” (rice)! Once it warmed up in the afternoon, we switched to liquid play 💧🍋
We loved using our kid-safe knives and cutters to slice and press real lemons all while engaging our senses through the fresh smell, texture, and juiciness of the lemons. 😊
Story Walk in the Park 🌳📖
This morning we enjoyed “There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell” 👵🐚 The children had so much fun racing from page to page and following along with the story 🙃
Today we explored the library! We practiced our quiet voices and loved choosing books to bring back to daycare 😊📚
Watercolor painting💧🎨 this morning, then we headed outside for another tea party once the rain cleared 😊
The Tiger Who Came to Tea🐅☕️🫖
An invitation to play exploring the story The Tiger Who Came to Tea with a pretend tea party! 😊🥖🥐🫖☕️🍪 The children enjoyed this one so much that we’ll keep it outside ready for play for the rest of the week. 🙂
We have a Caterpillar Clubhouse graduate visiting with us for a few days this week who I cared for as a toddler until she started kindergarten. It’s so sweet to see her helping with a new group of toddlers. Such a full circle moment 😊🥰 The first photo is from her very first week with me at age two…and now she’s about to start grade 6. Time truly flies!
A much needed rainy day 🌧 gave us the perfect reason to enjoy some of the newer toys in our downstairs playroom that we haven’t explored much yet 😊
