After 12 wonderful years, our original Facebook page for Caterpillar Clubhouse Daycare has been hacked and unexpectedly been taken down. While we’re sad to see it go, we’re also excited to be turning the page and starting a fresh new chapter! 📖✨

✨️ Happy December 1st! ✨️
To begin Advent, we made our very own Advent rings today. Each child rolled their own beeswax candles and added greenery and berries to create something special to take home. ❤️🕯
We were also introduced to our Gingerbread Man! He traveled all the way from the North Pole. He’s kind of like Elf on the Shelf but so much better 😉 He’ll be visiting us throughout December and will be bringing us some fun surprises in his sack! 🎄
Holiday Color & Cut 🖍✂️
We had fun coloring festive shapes and practicing our scissor skills this morning 👏 (We are loving our new beeswax 🐝🖍 crayons!)
Today we explored colour mixing with watercolours. We used droppers to watch how the colours spread and blend as we made trees for our Christmas tree farms 🎨🌲

While lunch was being made today, the children enjoyed an animated story from one of our favorite books 📚
We explored our new Christmas book today and loved it! ❤️ It’s the perfect addition to our playroom and we’re learning a brand new skill …winding up Santa’s sleigh 👏🎅🛷
Santa Claus Came to Town 🎄🎅
🎅✨ We had a very special visitor at daycare today! 🥰
Santa himself stopped by with his reindeer cane, his magic bag, and his special key! He showed us how all the gifts magically shrink to fit inside his bag on Christmas Eve 🎁 (he showed us by shrinking his book) and explained how he uses his magic key for houses without chimneys.
We even got to peek inside his book of good girls and boys 📖 and see pictures of his reindeer team! 🦌
Before heading back to the North Pole, Santa gave everyone a candy cane 🍬❤️ We were also so excited to give Santa a big cookie as a thank you for taking the time to visit us (because we all know that Santa loves cookies 🍪😄)

We had trick-or-treating around the neighborhood planned for the morning, but due to the rain and wind 🌧️💨 we decided to do some indoor trick-or-treating at our local retirement residence (which we had also planned to visit anyway). We had a blast and filled our buckets with yummy treats! 🍭🍫
On our way back, we stopped by a close neighbor’s house for one more trick-or-treat! 🧡
